Today's puzzle won't load

Daily puzzles are downloaded, so they need a connection. If the app says today's puzzle isn't available, check your network and tap Try Again. Any puzzle you've already downloaded stays playable offline, and with Plus the Random Puzzle card builds a new one on the device without a connection.

I subscribed but Plus isn't unlocked

Open Settings ▸ Restore Purchases in the app. That asks the App Store to re-check your subscription, which is what a new device, a reinstall or a restored backup needs. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account you subscribed with.

How do I cancel?

In iOS Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Crosswordy. Cancelling there stops the renewal; you keep Plus until the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

My streak disappeared

A streak counts days with an on-time completion. Finishing a puzzle after its own day has ended doesn't extend it. Before you've played today's puzzle, the streak shows greyed out — that means it's still standing and hasn't been extended yet, not that it's gone.

Printing

Open a puzzle, tap the share icon, then Print Puzzle. It prints in landscape with the grid on the left and the clues on the right, and the answers on a second page. Printing is part of Crosswordy Plus.

Someone sent me a puzzle link

Tapping it opens the puzzle in the app. Without the app installed you'll see a preview of the grid in your browser instead — the whole puzzle is encoded in the link itself.

I lost my puzzles

While you're signed in to iCloud, your puzzles and progress sync through your own private iCloud, so a new phone or a reinstall picks them up again. Give it a minute on first launch — the first sync isn't instant.

With iCloud off, or signed out, everything stays on that one device and deleting the app deletes it permanently. There's no account behind any of this and we hold no copy, so we can't restore puzzles for you either way.
